Residents, Agents and Suppliers (that are assigned fobs),
We have commenced work on a project that will greatly enhance security and access control within Aspire Apartments, for all residents.
All security access system readers will be replaced with encrypted readers – which means that it will be impossible to replicate or “clone” security fobs. For those that do so, against building by laws, this is the end of the road for this behaviour I’m afraid!
The card reader changeover will be happening on Tuesday 3rd September 2019, between the hours of 8.30am and 4pm (dependant if they finish earlier).
ALL currently assigned fobs need to be replaced with new fobs at no charge, PRIOR to the card reader changeover.
Any extra fobs not currently assigned will be charged at the rate of $50.00 per fob. * Note that restrictions are in place for the total number of fobs assigned per apartment, including agent fobs – but dependant of the number of bedrooms (1 bedroom – 3 fobs, 2 bedroom – 5 fobs, and 3 bedroom – 7 fobs). For example, a 2 bedroom apartment can have a maximum of 4 persons residing in it. 1 fob for each resident/tenant, and one for the owner or agent = 5 fobs total.
The procedure to have fobs replaced, PRIOR to the changeover:
- You MUST bring your old fob and
current official photo ID to the Building Manager, PRIOR
to the changeover, during these times:
- Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 8am
- Saturday from 8.00am to 12.30pm
- Residents and Agents are entirely responsible for ensuring that they have organised themselves, and make the effort to have replacement fobs assigned at the times stated above. Chasing up individual Residents or Agents will not occur.
- All assigned fobs will be assigned to a person, not an apartment. The assigned person will be wholly responsible for the use of the individual assigned fob.
- All assigned fobs MUST have a valid photo ID, personal email address and phone number assigned, belonging to the actual person that is assigned the fob and using the fob. This is for audit purposes. There are no exceptions to this requirement.
- A document stating that the fob/s have been taken will be required to be signed.
- Any extra fobs (within restriction limits) can be purchased for $50.00, cash payment.
- After the changeover, any old fobs will NOT work – you can throw them away in the trash, as they will be useless.
After the changeover, any residents or agents that have NOT followed the procedure above will be inconvenienced, as the old fobs will not work. Any after-hours work to correct this will be charged at the following per hour rates, and pre-payment will be necessary. Note that a minimum of 1 hour will be charged: During Business hours $65.00, After hours (M-F) $85.00, and Weekends $110.00.
